Rules of the Poken Contest

 

  1. Definition

1.1. The Poken Contest (hereinafter the “Contest”) is designed to encourage the participants of the 24th EADV Congress to increase their network among EADV members. The Poken Contest is subject to these Rules of the Contest as set out below.

  1. Duration

2.1. The Contest takes place from Wednesday 7 October until Sunday 11 October 2014.

2.2. The organizer reserves the right to postpone, modify, cancel or renew this Contest if circumstances require. In any event, the organizer shall not be held liable for such an occurrence.

  1. Eligibility

3.1. This Contest is open only to the participants of the EADV Copenhagen Congress 2015 that submit their name and e-mail when registering (hereinafter the “Participant”) – such information will be used to build their personal Poken profile.

3.2. No exhibitors or industry partners will be eligible for the allocation of the contest prizes.

3.3. Participants agree and acknowledge that personal data submitted in the context of this Contest may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used by EADV,  Poken and their affiliates for the purposes of conducting and administering the Contest.

  1. Selection of the Winners

4.1. Every time a Participant uses “poken” by pokening another Participant or poken a “tag”, she/he receives 1 (one) point.

4.2. At the end of the EADV Copenhagen Congress 2015 each Participant will have collected a number of points. The points obtained can be visible on-line at https://eadvcopenhagen2015.poken.com/

4.3. The three Participants with the highest score will be the winners of the Contest (hereinafter the “Winners of the Contest”).

4.4. In case of tie of points between the highest scorer Participants, precedence is given to younger Participants.

  1. Prizes

5.1. First place: free registration for the 13th EADV Spring Symposium in Athens, May 2016.
Second and third place: free EADV tablet.

5.2. The Winners of the Contest will be announced on the 24th EADV Congress’ website and social media platforms on 15 October 2015. They will be contacted by the EADV Registration Office for the details.

  1. Disclaimer

6.1. Participation in the Contest implies explicit and unreserved acceptance of the Rules of the Poken Contest, in all its provisions, rules of conduct as well as laws and regulations applicable to the Contest. It also implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limitations of the Internet, including regarding the technical performance of the platform, response times for consulting, querying or transferring information, risks of interruption and, more generally, the risks inherent in any connection and transmission on the Internet, the potential lack of protection of certain data against possible misuse and contamination by viruses circulating on the network.

6.2. It is specified that EADV shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages somehow resulting from the participation of the Contest; in particular EADV shall not be liable for any interruption, malfunction for any reason whatsoever, or for any direct damage resulting from participation in the Contest. It is up to the participant to take all appropriate measures to protect his/her own data and/or software stored on their computer equipment against any attack. Connecting to the Poken online platform and participation in the Contest is under the participant’s responsibility.

6.3. The EADV Registration Office may cancel all or part of the Contest if it appears that fraud has occurred in any form whatsoever, including by computer, as part of participation in the Contest or the determination of the winner. It reserves, in this case, the right not to award the prize to fraudsters and/or bring the perpetrators of the fraud before the competent courts. However, it does not incur any liability whatsoever vis-à-vis the Participants for any fraud committed.

6.4. Non-compliance with the Rules of the Contest by the user will result in the outright revocation of his/her participation and, where appropriate, the allocation of prizes granted.

  1. Privacy

7.1. Participants agree and acknowledge that personal data submitted including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used by EADV, Poken and their affiliates for the purposes of conducting and administering the Contest.

7.2. Participants have the right to access, rectify, cancel or oppose their data at any time upon written request to EADV or Poken.

  1. Disputes

8.1. By entering the Contest, any Participants agree that any dispute, claim, or demand related in any way to the Contest will be resolved by binding decision of the EADV Registration Office.
