The EADV is going green… and what about you?
The EADV is committed to reducing the impact of its events on the environment.
Until today, tons of paper have been used to print materials and brochures for our events, most of which are thrown away during or after the congress. On average, the equivalent to about 1250 trees have to be cut down to produce the printed materials for a congress.
The ultimate goal of the EADV is to organise an eco-friendly congress and reduce waste, by decreasing the number of printed materials we produce. To achieve this goal the EADV has set up different digital and electronic tools for attendees and exhibitors to use in place of the standard printed documents.
EADV e-Congress Tools
Using the EADV e-Congress tools, participants will be able to follow the entire Congress without collecting a single printed page. Here are some examples:
- Are you looking for more information about the sessions? You can collect session abstracts and other information by touching the “Poken tags” on the EADV programme wall onsite.
- Do you want to view the entire scientific programme? You can see a live version of the scientific programme using the “Mobile app”.
- Do you want to have a copy of the final programme, but don’t want to carry around a printed copy because it’s too heavy? You can download an electronic version from the “online resources” page.
